Gower: The most marginal seat in the House of Commons, won by the Conservatives in 2015 for the first time since 1906. The Conservative incumbent Byron Davies’ majority was just 27 votes and such an unexpected loss in 2015 that Labour HQ had to hand-write it onto their battle-board.

A comfortable Conservative hold was predicted, with Byron Davies reaping the advantages of incumbency and latent UKIP support. However, it became obvious that historical Labour voters had been mobilised by Tonia Antoniazzi and this made a significant difference to the outcome.
