“For even if the mountains walk away and the hills fall to pieces, My love won’t walk away from you, my covenant commitment of peace won’t. The
GOD who has compassion on you says so.” Isaiah 54:10.

There are some undeniable life realities that we cannot run away from.
Sometimes, it manifests as good experiences at another time, the opposite.
Storms of life do not mind your age, status, connection or sex. Ministers of God and other Christians are sometimes not spared from this storm. I Kings 4. The only difference is that while some people become victims, are stagnated and under the mercies of the storm; others stand as victors and pass through. Isa. 43:1–2. If the disciples of Jesus face storm in spite of the presence of Jesus in the boat, we Christians of today should expect the storm. But you must never exercise fear. Keep your faith alive because the same Jesus who quenched the power of the storm then with “Peace be still,” is still alive. Mk 4:35–39.

Men and women of old experienced storms in their journeys in life: Adam and Eve must have sorrowed over the loss of Abel. Joseph had his share of slavery, ridicule and imprisonment; Naomi opted to be called Marah due to her unpleasant experiences. Elijah’s life was threatened by a woman called Jezebel while John was beheaded. Paul did not only suffer the pain of beating, stoning, and shipwreck but was also beaten by viper. Whether dead or alive, they all finished as victorious conquerors. Rom. 8:36–37. Instead of being conquered by the storms around them, they rather conquered the storm by the Peace of God within.

Something that stood the people of old out which we must emulate as we still
stay alive is that they aligned with God against all bellowing storms. They were humble enough to reconcile with the God of Peace in order to enjoy the unending Peace of God. They made a choice of dwelling in the secret place of God and thereby abide in the serenity of the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1. The storms of life came; rocked them on the outside but they remained quiet, peaceful and serene within. No matter how fierce the storms of life were, they remained unshaken under his refuge. What made them to remain still was that they were conscious of the presence of the Lord of hosts and the God of Jacob. Psalm 46:1, 10–11.

I invite you to this joyful cruise as we embark on the journey that we are so
certain is going to end up in peace for us. The Almighty God is the captain of our Ship. We shall end up in his desired destination for our lives.
