Welcome to Summer!

Okinawa, Japan

Wow! This past six months have been a bit of a blur for us at FI. Our biggest project to-date was in Okinawa, Japan from mid-January through mid-March. We had the priviledge of working with AEC (American Engineering Company) on a fiber infrastructure upgrade project for US Joint Forces. What a great experience and honor to work alongside these talented techs at AEC and also the US service members from all the joint forces.
Another milestone for us this year is the growth of OTT Certification courses taught in the first half. We’ve more than doubled the number of courses delivered. The second half is already shaping up to be very busy… especially for OTT certification courses. After a dedicated client course in late July, we have two CONA (Certified Optical Network Associate) optical network design courses (open enrollment) scheduled for the weeks of August 19–23 in Lowell, MA and October 4–7 in Seattle WA. In addition we plan an open-enrollment CFCE the week of December 4th in Lowell, and are already looking at adding one in the late summer/fall.
And for those of you planning to attend, I will be speaking at the ISE EXPO Conference on Wednesday, September 13th in Orlando. My talk is entitled “When 100G isn’t 100G”… Curious? I hope so.

A special shout-out to all our clients and partners. We are here because of you. We appreciate your trust in us.

Have a great summer and don’t forget your sunscreen!
