Call for Submissions: Flash Fiction and Novella-in-Flash

Fiction Attic Press publishes flash fiction by new and established writers

Fiction Attic Press has been publishing flash fiction online and in print since 2005. Our contributors include widely published, award-winning authors as well as previously unpublished writers.

We are always on the lookout for great flash fiction–1,000 words or fewer. Submit your flash fiction here. We pay $15 for flash fiction, $10 for a group of micro fictions, and $50 for a novella-in-flash.*

Before you submit: please read recently published flash fiction on our website. Our tastes are wide-ranging and we are open to most genres, but reading recent work will help you decide what to submit to us. We seek well-crafted stories that surprise and delight us.

*Please note that our small submission fees ($3.99 for two flash fictions, $7 for a novella-in-flash) help pay for our subscription to the submission site Submittable, and they also help us pay our writers. All submitters receive a complimentary paid subscription to Ficiton Attic. You will see details on the submission page.

If you want to publish your work in Fiction Attic, flash fiction is definitely your best bet. We publish a few flash fictions each month, and we publish short stories only a few times per year. We are also on the lookout for our next novella-in-flash to serialize for our subscribers.
