Detective Andrews watched the zipped bag hoisted onto the ambulance. The body was found crumpled in a heap beneath the basin in the bathroom. A spilled bottle of pills suggested a drug overdose. It was ruled a suicide, reasonably.
But Andrews was skeptical.
No one checked into an Airbnb to commit a suicide. He looked around the bathroom again. Everything was intact except…
The mirror! How did he miss it? The report said the shower was running when the body was found. Normally, it should be steamy, but someone had wiped it clean haphazardly like they were in a hurry.
