A Planet Far Away
Daily random word Drabble — Orange / Last sentence: and with that, the door closed on their dream.
In a distant galaxy is the planet Urt. On Urt, there is a country, Usa-1 (pronounced OO-sa one).
Usa-1 has a modicum of freedom, governed by a democratic republic. They dream of an even greater society offering freedom and equality to all.
One political party had recently changed their color from red to orange. With an election approaching, their candidate shouted, “Vote for me. I’m going fix things. In 4 years, you won’t have to vote. In fact, you’ll never have to vote again.”
Happy, they elected him.
And with that, the door closed on their dream.
