It’s all camaraderie and laughter until someone leaves the tent unzipped and the rain soaks everything while you’re fishing.
It’s all teamwork, fresh air and wholesome fun until someone doesn’t hang the food properly and the wildlife devours it while you’re on your day-long hike to the must-see summit.
It’s all character-building and healthy living until someone doesn’t boil the water from the stream properly and everyone comes down with the collywobbles.
“I hate camping!” you yell between squirts.
But your venting is misplaced.
Because in the silence that follows, you could hear a pine needle drop.
