Today’s drabble challenge word is “annex”.

Today’s drabble challenge twist is that it must include “a skunk, an amusement park and the line, ‘forgive me, sir’”.

A drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. No more. No less.

If you enjoyed this, let me know by highlighting, clapping, and commenting!

The fleas point and applaud with their three pairs of appendages, as humans spin and swing inside the glass-walled annex.

Ponies whirl and neigh with delight as they ride the carousel, holding on with their hooves to the wooden manbuns of crouching men.

Skunks entertain the crowds, not with fire breathing, but with fire farting, lighting their anal thiols with great effect — nose pegs available on request.

“Sir! Sir! Forgive me, Sir!”

The attendant awakens the ringmaster from his dream.

“Huh?”

“It’s showtime!”

“Hmmm, from now on,” he yawns, “let’s treat our animals with dignity — no more cruelty, please.”

Yes, the stuff that skunks squirt is not only smelly but highly flammable! Something I would not have discovered without this
