A Drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. No more. No less.

Billy and Christie liked to encourage their children to get involved in hobbies.

Their daughter, Amelia, was currently working on a model airplane.
Her skills were starting to takeoff.

She was very meticulous and even used a Pilot Pen to record all of her steps. This was one project where she wasn’t going to wing it.

Amelia spent all of her spare time working on her prized airplane. She was bound and determined.

She carefully applied the glue to each piece and stuck to it.

Thinking of where she wanted to go on her fantasy journeys propelled her to go forward.

She never got board and always played John Denver’s song “Leaving on a Jet Plane” in the background.

She got excited as she neared completion.

Amelia’s dreams were taking flight and the thought of soaring in the air in the beautiful sky made her smile from ear to ear.
