A Drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. No more. No less.

A Fiction Shorts’ editor is having nightmares about punctuation errors.

The Battle axe doesn’t know about this. If she did, she would just joke that the editor is a pain in the ass.

The period thinks the comma acts highfalutin because it has a tiny tail and is cuter.

Similarly, the exclamation point thinks the question mark acts all high and mighty because it is fancier. The question mark says, “You’re damn straight. I am spiffier!”

The quotes complain that no one knows whether to put punctuation inside or outside of quotes.

“All of you, get your act together. Period!”
