Another Depressing Day
RWDrabble 2.0. #002 | Weeping
A drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. Today is RWDrabble 2.0 #002, the second drabble challenge of 2025. The random drabble word is weeping, and you must name your main character Agnes.
Another day had come and gone. As usual, Agnes wasted the hours weeping and hyperventilating, consumed by her thoughts.
She wasn’t always like this. Before the accident, Agnes was a lively woman, full of joy and potential. She woke up excited to begin each day with her adoring husband and chatterbox children.
The accident haunted her. Agnes was supposed to be the driver, not her husband.
Stanley had borrowed her SUV for daycare dropoff. He hated installing the kids’ booster seats.
Stanley’s jealous coworker was lurking nearby, ready to send Agnes to meet Jesus. Everyone survived, but the marriage didn’t.
