Are You Sure It’s a Gator?
RWDrabble 2.0.092 | Graze
Today’s random word is graze; the twist is to use the designated line somewhere in the drabble.
Because drabbles are short, please consider staying on this page for at least 30 seconds so your time counts as a read. And while you’re here, a clap, highlight, comment, or all of them is greatly appreciated. It lets me know you were here.
Alligators don’t make good pets. When she pitched the picture book title to her editor, Tasha felt sure she had a winner, but then Sandra walked in the front door with her science project in tow.
“Mom, it’s only for the weekend. It was the alligator or the donkey. I didn’t think you’d appreciate another burro grazing on your azaleas.”
“Oh, but you’re wrong, Sandra. If you had brought the donkey home, your good-for-nothing father could have gotten off his lazy ass and helped you with yours. Besides, that’s not an alligator.”
“Mom, that’s a load of crock.”
Remember to visit Fiction Shorts often daily so you don’t miss my daily drabbles and those of other deserving drabblers.
Nancy Oglesby writes, “If you are unfamiliar with a drabble, it is a fiction story of exactly 100 words.” She gives a daily random word prompt to make the challenge more interesting.
Don’t miss out on today’s drabble.
