Selene is on another musical adventure, Leo’s with her, and more family secrets unravel.
Yes, friends we are back with a Drabble, a story told in 100 words. We are returning with Selene’s musical journey and the word of today is:
Muddy, Drabble 199
Selene and Leo walked into the Krazy Korner Bar. She was in New Orleans on another treasure hunt outlined in her father’s will.
Inside, a woman with a voice smooth as grandma’s gravy captivated the crowd. Selene felt a surge of recognition.
The last note faded. Selene weaved through the crowd, Leo close behind.
Olla approached smiling. “Selene? Gigi’s grandbaby?”
“I’m — ”
“That note says ‘this may muddy the waters?’”
Selene nodded.
“Affaire de famille*?” Olla retrieved a guitar from behind the bar. A glint of aged wood revealed a Gibson, Muddy Waters’ name etched on the neck.
“Family business?”
*“Affaire de famille” means family business in Louisiana Creole French.
