A drabble is a 100 word story. The word “Psyche” should appear in it. My muse entertained himself with suggesting a dark theme story.

I’m intrigued by the human psyche. School is a breeding ground for teenage angst, insecurities, and identity crises.

I act like I wouldn’t hurt a fly. I study classmates and test my hypotheses by sending them a letter bomb threatening to disclose secrets. Sometimes, I steal their precious items.

“Andy, what should I do?” they ask.

I dispense advice, and they never expect I’m their torturer.

My forte is cracking a bully’s confidence in an empty alleyway — it’s fun to see them melt like ice in the summer sun.

I wonder if I’m a sociopath or just a wicked guy.

Unfortunately, in my life as a school teacher, I encountered a couple of “wicked” teenagers, some more so than others. A school I worked in, in South Africa, was owned by a serial killer.
