A Drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. No more. No less. But this one is twisted into 150.

Please stay on the page for at least 30 seconds or more so the stories are counted as read. Please read, highlight, clap, and comment — let us know you’ve been here! Thank you!

“I’m so excited for the Paris, Olympics,” exclaimed Tess.

I’ve never thought you were a sports lover until now,” piped Carl.

I’ve been interested ever since breaking had been introduced at the Youth Olympic Games in 2018. This year in Paris 2024, it’ll be the only new sport.

With 16 B-Boys and 16 B-Girls battling it out for the medals, this will be the coolest modern sport ever. They’re truly amazing athletes that are worth the Olympic honor.

I haven’t seen you in months, Tess. Where were you last month?

Budapest. The Olympic Qualifier Series for breaking was held there in June.

Wow! I can’t imagine you’re such a fan to go all the way from France to Budapest just to watch breakdancing.

Not exactly. Actually, I was one of the B-Girl qualifiers.

What?! Does that explain for those crutches you’re fashioning today?
