Inclusive classroom

Everyone is welcome here

We will all stand tall

In every classroom today, all children must feel at home, and secure.

It’s a given.

I do everything in my power to welcome children and make them want to be in my classroom.

I have a sign there that states this.

Every child is welcome here.

But now I must take it down. I’m overpowered to remove it because it’s an opinion.

I’m a teacher. Every word on my wall reflects who I am and what I stand for: that every student in my classroom will always be safe.

Below is the news item I based this drabble on. I’m still scratching my head.

Big thanks to Penny Grubb who mentioned the story yesterday.

Sharing Nancy Oglesby’s latest love story. She might soon be moving Downunder!
