Today’s random word is Cumbrous. The random genre is Mystery.

A Drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words.

“I’m calling your mom and telling her you’re stupid,” Casey was worried and irritated, but she knew Katie was going anyway.

Katie’s cumbrous backpack was stuffed in her trunk along with her tent and camping gear. Her job was wearing on her and she needed to relax.

Several women had recently gone missing from the wooded area outside of town, but she’d be okay. She knew what she was doing.

Katie sighed, finally sipping wine next to the crackling fire. Hearing footsteps behind her, she turned to look.

Three days later, her mom contacted the sheriff’s office.

Katie was missing.
