A partially fiction tale

I woke up and couldn’t open my eyes. The pounding in my head was so intense that my eye muscles seized up. I rolled over, feeling nauseous and wondering what stupid act of idiocy I’d done the night before in my drunken state.

I smelled the coffee but didn’t recognize the particular blend. Had my roommate bought something new? She never drank flavored coffee, yet the scent of vanilla overpowered the house. Strange.

Regardless of my hangover, I had to get up and start my day. I took a deep, long, overhead stretch and opened my eyes.

Where am I?
