Random Word Drabble Challenge Day 78 Word is CONDO
- Because a drabble is quite short (only 100 words) please read to the end of this story. Clapping and highlighting help, and getting your comments is a delight. I will respond to everyone
The Alien introduced itself as Condo — an abbreviation of Condere. During its long tenure under the ice, it has become enamoured of human history: warriors, myths, and legends.
‘Condere is a given name in Irish. We know of this warrior from the Ulster Cycle. Earthlings call it Irish mythology. We were there.
‘Lauded for his eloquent songs and fighting in the days of Queen Medb, the people of Ulaid gave their name to the province of Ulster,’ it explained.
Mentally transmitting images, words, and songs by a warrior from almost two thousand years ago, Condo left Percival and Jethro reeling.
Whiskey In The Jar — how Irish is this!
Each day, I post a word for the following day. Your challenge is to write a drabble (a story of exactly 100 words) in which the day’s random word features. Nancy Oglesby
