Friends are the magic spark that empower you to achieve anything. However, they can also test your patience.
Luckily my friendships were of the magic variety that stood the test of time and life’s uphill challenges and curve balls.
They say you can count your true friends on one hand.
“Tom, you are a lucky guy because you can count your true friends on two hands,” my wife said on my 70th birthday. I was blessed with true friends but, alas, five years later, and I’m the only one who remains.
Life can be lonely when you miss your companions.
Life reminds us that not everything lasts forever. When you are living your golden years, you appreciate the friends that stood by your side in sunshine and stormy weather.
