Harvey the Wonder Hamster (gold star if you catch the reference!) loved his little girl. On those rare occasions he was able to string more than two words together in his mind, he thought of her as ‘Soft Hands, Don’t Bite.’
He had bitten her once, of course, in the beginning… But when she’d said, “Ouch, Harvey! That hurts!” something fired off in his tiny, pea-sized brain. Harvey. Yes. He had been a man named Harvey…once upon a time.
But talking back wasn’t in his skillset, so he’d just tried to look completely adorable and gently released her finger.
