The random word on 9 October was ‘article.’

‘The bananas were brown and mushy,’ but that’s OK. I peeled and mashed them and added walnuts to make banana bread for my kids. They love it! Or so I thought.

Later that week, I stumbled upon a crumpled school newspaper in the trash. The series was titled Breaking News: The Return of Banana Bread.

The title intrigued me, but I felt bad for the poor mom as I read it. ‘Surviving Mom’s Banana Dread: A How-To Guide.’
