Today’s daily word is “administration

This is a “drabble”, a story in exactly 100 words. Please take your time, reading for at least 30 seconds. Leave some claps if you enjoy my first effort. Friendly feedback is also welcome.

Jed’s day went from bad to newsworthy.

His dog had crapped on the carpet, and he stepped in it — barefoot. His Yaris wouldn’t start. Finally started, he knocked the mirror off the car door, leaving his garage.

Leaving the store, he slammed his hand in the car door. “How can anybody even DO that!” he shouted.

Nursing his swelling hand, Jed sat in his car for a minute with the radio on. He heard an agitated announcer describing the administration’s response to the forecast meteor’s collision course.

Jed chuckled cynically, shaking his head as he heard the overhead howling streak.

This turned out a lot more difficult than I expected…exACTly 100 words. Whew! I look forward to trying other challenges to hone my skills.

Thank you for reading!
