I thought I could go away for the weekend and come back to open arms. This trip was planned for weeks. But, Sasha, the over-nurturing busybody up the road, had other plans.

She got started the moment I pulled out of the driveway. A fancy dinner, some cuddling, a brand new outfit. She pulled out all the stops, including some nip!

By the time I returned, it was too late. She’d won him over. He looked at me with eyes of betrayal.

Sasha was always jealous of us. She knows my cat is central to my mental health regimen!

Thanks for reading. I’m Jonesy, an artist, writer, and cat mama.
