It Almost Made Perfect Sense
Today’s random word is Colour.
Because drabbles are short, please consider staying on this page for at least 30 seconds. I’d love to know you were here. 💕
Shanty was Sahara’s pick of the litter. She loved the colour of the Australian Shepherd’s crystal blue eyes.
“Mom, can I have him?” Sahara pleaded.
“No, honey. Shanty is ‘show quality.’ His asking price is out of my league.”
Shanty gnawed on Sahara’s pinky with razor-sharp teeth.
“I’ll get a job, Mom, and pay you back.”
“Sahara, you’re only eight years old. What kind of job could you do?”
The little girl closed her eyes, slowly drew a measured breath, and waited for enlightenment.
“I know. Hire me as your mother’s helper, and I’ll repay you with my allowance.”
