It’s A Game Day
RWDrabble 2.0.040 | Commercial
Setting: A baseball game
“A Drabble is a fiction story of exactly 100 words — no more, no less.” — Nancy Oglesby
I’m excitedly studying today’s baseball game commercial. It’s starting soon.
I already smell all the lovely delights the food stalls are preparing: popcorn, hot dogs, and pizza. Ooh! We’re going to have a field day.
“Susy, hurry up. We’re going to be late!” Timmy shouts. “There will be plenty of free treats to eat.”
“Do you like my new sunhat?” Susy asks, her antennae twitching.
“They’re lovely sis,” I reply patiently. “Let’s go.”
“I’m hungry,” Susy says. “Let’s bring some small snacks back for later.”
“Hurrah, hurrah, we’re marching to a baseball game,” they sing en route to the stadium.
It is estimated that major league baseball fans create more than 1,000 tons of waste every season including food that has spoilt (Game Day Garbage).
