Propped atop her trusty steed, Emmie faced the crowd and waved. Her experience of entertaining a group of preschool children in a clown suit exceeded her expectations, but today was different.
Pleasing Gus, an adult birthday boy, and a group of his male friends proved far more difficult.
For one thing, their attention span lacked longevity. On another note, escaping embarrassment by appearing unamused made entertaining those older, masculine types impossible.
Emmie removed the clown suit, changed alter egos, and remounted. Repeating her wave, she inched the horse closer. Suddenly, Lady Godiva had the men eating out of her hands.
