Sarah decided to be more intentional with her life. In her 60’s, financially stable, she had a great life — according to others. She retired earlier than her friends; now she was restless in a way she hadn’t imagined. She had already tried yoga, pickleball, and volunteering at the homeless shelter. She prepared meals for the elderly, and she read in her grandchild’s preschool.
It wasn’t until she went on a weekend silent retreat that she realized what she was truly missing: purpose. She went through each day, mindlessly, on a rigid schedule. She needed to pay more attention to herself.
LESSONS:
1. Slow down and listen to yourself.
2. Discover your own purpose and align your life accordingly.
3. Live on purpose: give attention to intention.
