RWDrabble 2.0.033 | Drinking
A Drabble is a fiction story of exactly 100 words — no more, no less. So please stick around for 30 seconds so Medium can see it’s been read. Any claps, highlights, and comments will help support my work and encourage me to keep going.
Our drabbles should feature the random word of the day and be about something overheard while eavesdropping.

“Ha! I can’t believe I killed him! He let me in and had no idea I’d betray him but I did it! And now the bastard’s dead!”
Mark had been out all day drinking and hadn’t seen his older brother Rob or their nasty stepdad since he came home. The brothers had often reminisced about freeing themselves from their mum’s husband. To Mark’s fuzzy mind, it sounded like Rob had done it.
If only he had looked through the door and seen his brother playing video games before he called the police.
“Hello, police? I need to report a murder.”
