Annie was on her way to Mexico!

The extent of her knowledge of the Spanish language consisted of a few essential phrases...‘hello’, ‘taxi’ and, of course…’ where’s the bathroom?’”

Guadalajara International Airport…the signs were in Spanish, of course.

“Where’s baggage claim?” Annie thought.

“Can I help you, ma’am?”

“Estoy embarazada” Annie said.

“Oh. Do you need ’el baño?” the airport employee asked.

“Why do you think I need a bathroom?” Annie inquired.

“Because you just said you’re pregnant.”

“Estoy avergonzada is what I meant.”

“You’re embarrassed? No need! We’re here to help.”

Annie let Google Translate take it from there.

STOP…whatever it is you’re doing and read this perfect Drabble by S. Douglas Hall 🔥
