RWDrabble 2.0.036 | Explorer
A Drabble is a fiction story of exactly 100 words — no more, no less. So please stick around for 30 seconds so Medium can see it’s been read. Any claps, highlights, and comments will help support my work and encourage me to keep going.
Our drabbles should feature the random word of the day and take the form of a letter home from a distant location.

My dearest Millicent,
I never imagined, when I departed home three months ago, that I might see the things I’ve seen. I am writing to you from a desk by a window. All about me are the tallest trees and most exquisite flowers. All manner of growls from predators, screeches from unseen apes and the songs of beautiful birds. The jungle is so alive!
Tomorrow, our charter will sail us downriver into the depths of the jungle, where we will follow into an uncharted cave. The locals are vastly superstitious, but no fear! I’ll become an explorer yet!
Yours,
Aldous
