Celaena had been monitoring Drake’s movements for a week now to craft a perfect plan to kill him. Being an assassin, her job was to hunt the man down and spill his blood without anyone having a clue.
She was around the corner from Drake’s establishment, wearing black leather from head to toe to blend into the moonless night.
When a dagger came flying at her, she ducked in time with a feline swiftness to avoid contact.
She must have been distracted.
Drake will die. If not today, then tomorrow.
And then she will find the source of that dagger.
