A Drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. No more. No less.

Martin assumes no liability for damage. That’s no surprise. Martin shuns responsibility for everything.

In turn, the townspeople shun Martin.

They also yell at him.

“Martin, Martin, you’re so rotten! This will not be forgotten.”

He hides in his house like a louse. While the people all grouse.

Martin’s thinking of leaving town.

“You have no morals and start so many quarrels!”

He can’t deny anything they’re saying.

“You’re not a nice person and things will just worsen.”

He starts to pack his bags so he can sneak out of town.

“Martin, Martin, go away. Don’t come back another day.”
