Don’t take a rejection personally. It’s for the editors’ benefit to empty the queue so that we’re not wasting time opening a story that another editor has already worked on. Just resubmit when you’ve made the changes and/or answered an editor’s question.

Please bold the word of the day within the story. It makes it easier for the elderly, half-blind editors to find. We get so caught up in the stories that we’ve been known to miss them. 😮

If an editor leaves a note on your story, do not delete it.

Five of us go into the queue on and off throughout the day. If you delete an editor’s note, the others cannot see what they asked you to do. Don’t delete editor notes!

Make sure your story is ready to go. We publish a lot of stories a day, and we do a pretty good job of publishing on schedule… and we do it mostly 😉with love.
