Drabble 303 | Vehicle
Today’s drabble challenge word is “vehicle”.
Today’s drabble challenge twist is to tell the editorial team what we’d like to see for Fiction Shorts in 2025 in between 100 and 200 words.
Drabbles are short — only and exactly 100 words.
Whether you are delighted or dismayed by what you read, let me know you’ve been here by highlighting, clapping, and commenting! Thank you!
Bashful Bert, as he is known by his cruel colleagues, is a boring bean counter — this also according to his wicked workmates.
By day, he labours away on splendid spreadsheets (in his opinion). By night, he anxiously attempts devilish drabbles.
Whether his drabbles are awful or awesome, he sinks softly into the accepting arms of a kind community who applaud his efforts. Secretly, he seeks no-nonsense Nancy’s approval, while appreciating all she and her extraordinary editors accomplish.
The daily drabble one-word prompt is largely lovely. Sometimes, it’s all his bleary brain can take. Sometimes, he hankers for silly suggestions stored on his secret spreadsheet, a veritable vehicle of embryonic ideas.
Dare he share?
