Today’s drabble challenge twist is that it must be set on “a murder mystery train”.

The whistle blew as the train departed.

Guests sipped their preferred cocktails as they were told how the murder mystery game would operate.

During the first course, everyone tittered when the man drinking a Manhattan fell face-first into his gazpacho soup.

The game was on!

What a mystery!

And such an excellent actor!

When a scream announced another victim in the corridor, the guests cheered at the unexpected double murder twist.

No one saw that coming!

But Gazpacho Man never rose again, did he!?

And his murderer?

The choke of a solitary, sweet, and dastardly maraschino cherry, of course!
