Because drabbles are short, please consider staying on this page for at least 30 seconds. I’d love to know you were here. 💕

I’m so happy to receive my new set of carving knives today, delivered right to my door. The advertisement touted they’d be the sharpest in the drawer — razor sharp, unlike my husband, who’s unlikely to use them to cook.

After I run a few errands, I’ll pack most of the older knives away for safekeeping, except for the broken one, which could come in handy.

Fritz drinks too much. He likes to put enough alcohol into his body to numb his pain as he berates and demeans me.

Tonight, I’m serving his drink on the rocks with a jagged twist.

Disclaimer: My husband and I are fine, folks. He treats me like a goddess. This drabble is purely fictitious.

Remember to visit Fiction Shorts often daily so you don’t miss my daily drabbles and those of other deserving drabblers.

Check out Chris Yanda in this creative, hysterical drabble if you’re looking for more fabulous drabble reads.
