My Tears Are My Chords

“Fill in, fill up these empty spaces
Building upon my broken traces
When the moonlight comes creeping through
Finally free to grow my virtue”
Mrs. Green listened with her husband outside their daughter Dani’s door. She smiled to hear pleasant singing.
But Dani knew they were there.
As soon as she heard them shuffle away, she tore up the lyrics to pieces. The chorus she had sung was just stupid enough to get them off her back.
So sorry, parents. I’m actually depressed. You don’t want to know what I sing about. Hint, Mom… it isn’t a kumbaya revolution.
