Today’s random word is SIGHT, and there is a twister: LIMERICK

My little sis is crazy, photo by: Anna Soldenhoff

Since drabbles are brief, I’d appreciate it if you could hang around on this page for at least 30 seconds to count it as a read. If you feel like giving a round of applause, highlighting, or dropping a comment, that would be the perfect finishing touch. 💕

Spurka sat on the soft blanket, her green eyes narrowing as she spotted Gryzka, running around the living room.

“Gryzka, do you ever stop?” Spurka purred.

Gryzka paused, her tail flicking. “Never! Listen to this, Spurka!”

She cleared her throat and recited happily:

“There once was a cat with great sight,

Who prowled through the dark of the night.

She’d pounce with a grin,

And always would win,

While her sister just ran in pure fright!”

Spurka chuckled, “Not bad, little sis. But remember, it’s my sight that keeps us safe.”

Gryzka grinned, “And my antics that keep us entertained!”

Nancy Oglesby writes, “If you are unfamiliar with a drabble, it is a fiction story of exactly 100 words.”

To make the challenge…

I enjoy getting lost in a good book, spend time with my cats, admire the beauty of the natural world, and appreciate the creativity of the art world.
