Today’s drabble challenge word is “oblivious”.

Today’s drabble challenge twist is that it must include “a maraschino cherry”.

A drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. No more. No less.

If you enjoyed this, let me know by highlighting, clapping, and commenting!

Sam’s guts churn from the illicit seven-course meal.

However, his Executive Fitbot™ isn’t monitoring his distressed heartbeat and the sweaty discomfort of his bloating belly.

By docking his mandatory health tracker to the unauthorised Manbot at reception, he’s free to indulge — and overindulge — without detection.

Endangered Bluefin sashimi…

Eggs as precious as diamonds…

A tingle of fugu…

An ancient Maraschino cherry soaked in histamine-releasing Allura Red colouring…

The combination triggers a massive cardiac arrest.

A shame, really, for oblivious to his demise, the Manbot continues delivering healthy input data even as Sam‘s body cools beside his empty plate.

Thank you for reading my drabble — and thank you to Nancy and the editing team…
