I’ll need to recast my image if I want to remain popular amongst the university’s in-crowd.
The fling I had with Mona came back to haunt me after I dropped her for Jess. Her dramatic reaction in class put a serious dent in my university student presidential ambitions.
People warned me to stay away from strong-willed Mona who doesn’t take crap from anyone. But I didn’t want to listen. Her beauty intrigued me, her fighting spirit I admired. I never thought she would make a scene when I dropped her like a hot potato.
“Are you Jake Wetherby?” a man asks when I respond to a knock on my door.
“Yes, I am.”
“I have a court summons for you based on sexual harassment charges,” he informs me.
