“Sure, but people don’t pay top dollar to watch you smash your racquets, not to mention your challenging the umpires.”
“Listen Rodger. Nine times out of ten I was in the right. They wouldn’t listen.”
“Be that as it may, but your seeing red put them right off their game.
“You won that point. The umpire was overruled, but you lost.”
“How?”
“That your iconic moment in tennis was about a bad line call.”
John McEnroe, in my opinion, spoiled almost every game he played in. I almost gave up watching Summer of Tennis here in Australia, solely because of his poor behaviour.
Roger Federer, on the other hand, was one of the gentlemen of tennis.
