September 1’s random word is bewildered
Skewerman is a 100 word story…
Cliff raced through the house. “Mama!” he called, waving a stick. “I’m a superhero!”
His mother looked at him smiling, yet bewildered. “Why are you carrying a stick, my sweet Superman? And where’s your cape?”
“I’m not Superman, I’m Skewerman. I catch bad guys and roast them!” Cliff thrust his “skewer” into the air. “I’m going to rid the world of evil!”
His mother looked past her son at the television where news of crime and corruption dominated the screen. She shut it off with a sigh.
“You know, Cliffy,” she said, “we need more crime fighters just like you!”
