Today’s drabble challenge twist is that “you just spotted a UFO.

I emerge from one of my greenhouses, relieved that the latest seedlings are growing with vigour.

I don’t have the same seasons as Nancy, but thanks to her updates, even this far away, I like knowing that she and I are both mulching, weeding and gardening.

Living here, I appreciate all the modern advances that keep me healthy. But staying connected, no matter where we are, seems by far the most important use of humanity’s technology.

So, as I walk back up to my home, I do as Nancy suggested on May 2.

I look around with wonder, stretch, touch my toes, and raise my arms to the sky. As ever, there are no clouds today. There never are beyond the giant glass hermetically sealed geodesic dome I live within.

It’s how I spot the object hurtling through the sky. It’s the only thing up there besides the distant sun.

Terrified, I wonder if this UFO is possibly returning to the place I’ve only so…
