She buckled up her belt and prepared for take-off. Going into space to study alternate life forces had always been a dream.

As the rocket boosters blared, her alien counterpart produced a noise she couldn’t identify. He was, after all, from the planet Zedom, just one light-year away.

The ship took off and thrust them both back into their seats.

As the g-forces took over, her rocket-mates face began to pull away. He screeched violently as his exoskeleton fell off and revealed a grotesque figure of sineu, tendons, and melted flesh.

Maybe this was a bad idea.
