The random word is insufficient, and we must base our story on the past.

This is a drabble, 100 words — no more, no less. Please stay on the page and scroll for at least 30 seconds.

Nearly forty years ago, at the Plaza Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, I was Baby Face — a male exotic dancer whose signature act involved wearing insufficient clothing — just a Depends diaper, dancing to the song “Baby Face.”

My G-string was a doll’s head that covered the important parts. The owner arrived, stuffing hundreds into G-strings while groping everyone.

When I pushed him away with my foot, my toe ring snagged his hair. I tumbled backward, landing butt-first on his face.

“You’re fired!” he screamed. But I was laughing too hard at his brown nose and orange face to care.

To set the early ’80s scene properly, Cheryl Ladd and the Brady Bunch are doing a cover.
