Drabble Challenge Number 93 – Today’s Random Word is “variety”.

A Drabble is a fiction story of exactly 100 words, and therefore by their nature very short.

I am Scottish, so my drabbles by their nature skew a bit on the British side!

The great thing about being a single childless adult is that you get to choose your own Easter egg.

Rose remembered when Easter eggs had the sweets inside the egg and was irked when they were in the box instead.

She could choose an egg with a variety of assorted sweets, but there would invariably be a disappointing coconut-filled chocolate.

Cadbury’s Button eggs were always her favourite, but she was a grown woman! Aren’t Buttons for toddlers?

“Intense” 70% Peruvian dark chocolate egg? Way too grown-up!

Sod it! She grabbed a chocolate bunny and headed to the till.
