Because a drabble is quite short(only 100 words) please remain on the page for at least 30 seconds to count this as a full read. Reading to the end, clapping, and highlighting will help to do this.

It’s Felicia’s traditional wedding day, a date they fixed months before. Just two days ago, Donald was sent abroad on an urgent company business. He sent in a proxy today but Felicia didn’t tell her 89-year-old grandma. It was Grandma who raised her after her parents died.

“Felicia, where’s your groom, I want to say something to him.”

“He’s not here, Nana.”

“What do you mean? Who’re you marrying, then?”

“I’m marrying Donald, … he’s out of the country. He sent a representative.”

“A what? We’ll wait until he returns.”

The ceremony was postponed and everyone went home.
