“His toxicology report showed there were no drugs in his blood and urine, but his hair showed a ticking time bomb of GHB consumption.”

When asked, both his mother and wife said he never took any drugs, even for recreational purposes.

The detectives could tell something else was going on with this case but could not pinpoint what. When they checked Zina’s accounts to establish her motive for killing him, they saw she’d received payments from his wife twice, up to 1,000 dollars.

They wondered if his wife had paid Zina to kill him.

But what could her motive be?
