Today’s random word is: Conference

The conference was called by Jonathon Livingston, a seagull of high renown.

Over the years, he’d noted that his tribe had all but forgotten how to dive artfully for fish in the ocean.

He attributed that to the easy access they’d found, for food.

The local pub, celebrated for serving Theo best fish and chips on the Australian coastline, was now their easy source of food.

Lunchtime saw the birds congregating en masse, waiting for the super-tasty fish coatings the diners would offer them.

Jonathan attributed the high levels of cancer found among local seagulls, to these easy titbits.

If you’re not already on board with writing drabbles, (short, 100-word stories, no more, no less,) do yourself a favour. Get stuck in! They are a lot of fun to write, but also serve as a lesson in tight writing, given the 100-word constraint.
